Polar & Austere Environments Focus,
As a global solutions provider, our work takes us into harsh and rugged terrains. Whether it’s the freezing temperatures and volcanic rock of Antarctica or the remote, highly corrosive, humid and salt-laden environment of the Marshall Islands, we’re delivering complex infrastructure solutions to federal government agencies anywhere in the world.
In the Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands, we’re repairing the Bucholz Army Airfield, a highly strategic national asset for the U.S. military in the Pacific theatre. Our expertise allows us to complete this complex infrastructure project consisting of replacing components of the airfield, including the major runways, taxiways, and parking aprons as well as installing various utilities, while ensuring there is no impact to the installation’s operational requirements.
In Antarctica, our team is designing new facilities and executing construction in the field with both internal resources and subcontractor personnel at McMurdo Station. Built on bare volcanic rock, the station serves as a hub for scientific research, logistical support, and as a base for field operations. The infrastructure modernization project will ensure McMurdo Station remains a viable platform for supporting world-class science facilities for the next 50 years. Learn more about our Antarctica work below.
What We’re Up To In Antarctica
Infrastructure Below Zero
Our work in Kwajalein and Antarctica are just two examples of how we leverage our resources and capabilities to guide customers through planning, design, construction, and post-construction challenges on complex, multi-site, multi-phase programs.

Focus on Innovation
Our experience, capabilities, and best-of-breed solutioning approach, combined with our collaborative partnership mentality, culminates in a disruptive, open makerspace—PALADIN Lab.
Designed to foster new technologies and capabilities for national security, PALADIN Lab, owned and operated by Parsons, is located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. From here, this innovation incubator connects industry, academia, and the U.S. Government, enabling us—and our customers—to leverage imaginative people and open, available technology to answer our biggest national security challenges.
Environment, Health and Safety
We define our core value of sustainability as the creation or enhancement of environmental, economic, and social balance, as realized through client deliverables, business activities, employee actions, and community engagement. Backed by empowered teams, we implement these principles and best practices in corporate operations and customer solutions to address environmental risk and minimize our carbon footprint.

Education and STEM Outreach
STEM Workforce Diversity Magazine has named us one of the top employers for STEM diversity. From our mentoring and scholarship programs to our training initiatives, we’re excited to support and encourage the next generation of innovators.
- Technovation Girls Challenge: We rallied a team of more than 100 volunteer judges to provide feedback on submittals from girls aged 8-18 for the global Technovation Girls Challenge. Girls work in teams to code mobile apps and AI solutions that address real world problems, and judges review their team pitches.
- Architecture Construction Engineering Mentor Program: Since 1995, our employees have served as board members, team leaders, and mentors with the Architecture Construction Engineering (ACE) Mentor Program. This program introduces high school students to careers in the design and construction industry through real-world mock design and engineering projects.
